If you have been following the news in Ohio recently, you may have already seen the headlines.Ohio is getting its first Mountain Coaster, the Hocking Hills Mountain Coaster. This attraction has swiftly garnered widespread attention throughout the state, and we are delighted to announce that a Wiegand Alpine Coaster will be the centerpiece of this awesome new experience. Wiegand Sports USA is proudly presenting the 1st Alpine Coaster in Ohio!

The Hocking Hills Mountain Coaster is a patron-controlled ride and provides an interactive experience as riders wind through more than 3,600 feet of track, following the wooded landscape of Hocking Hills. Riders will experience curves, jumps, waves, twisters, and other dynamic elements with speeds up to 25 miles an hour. Patrons can direct the sleds' speed, allowing thrill-seekers as well as scenic riders of ALL ages to participate in the Mountain Coaster experience.

Every Mountain Coaster is tailored to the site it is installed on. Elevation and topography are the key elements to our gravity-propelled ride system. Our engineers meticulously consider the natural contours, landscape, and topography when designing an exhilarating Mountain Coaster. The Hocking Hills Mountain Coaster, a thrilling ride, takes visitors on a journey through the picturesque mountainous terrain of the renowned Hocking Hills State Park. It promises to leave visitors with a smile on their faces. 

Wiegand has designed and installed over 400 Alpine Coaster tracks worldwide, 50 of them in North America. The First Mountain Coaster was installed over 30 years ago. The first U.S. Mountain Coaster was installed in 2005, at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, CO. 22 years later, it remains to be the most popular attraction in that park.
